Yesterday, the weather cooperated, traffic wasn’t really that bad and of course, family and friends made my day extra special. It was indeed a happy birthday to me! I celebrated my birthday with my co-workers and had a simple lunch at the office, then I had dinner with family and close friends at Sakae Sushi in the Fort. Ali even surprised me with beautiful Stargazer lilies. Aside from that, I also had 3 birthday cakes, dozens of cupcakes and a few gifts and I’m really happy that I was able to raise a decent amount for my small project for the kids in Don Bosco Pugad.

In spite of the rain (and the Makati mutiny), Ali and I went to Greenhills this afternoon to buy the gifts from the wishlist of the Don Bosco Pugad kids. They have very simple requests, they asked for things that they really need like shoes and school pants. There was also a boy who wants to have a bottle of hair gel. Along with that list, I received a letter saying that the kids are really excited to meet me. I’ll be going there this Saturday to give them their gifts. Again, I want to thank all those who supported me on this project. Thank you for sharing your blessings and I’m sure you’ll be showered with more because of your kindness.
